We are currently working on the Fritz the Cat chapter. The layouts are going well. There’s lots of development art included that’s never been seen before, such as the original piece that Ralph used during the meeting to sell the project. This however, is a scene from the film in which Fritz has a good time in Harlem.

We have been busy. Research trip #1 went off without a hitch. Research trip #2 is booked. Updates will now be forthcoming regularly from here on out. We are scheduling them in! We appreciate every bit of interest in this project and all the responses we have gotten so far. Onward.

We are happy to announce the art / bio of Ralph Bakshi book which is to be released in mid 2008 from Rizzoli NYC. As we are progressing into full production on the book, we are putting out the call to all Bakshi fans, co-workers, students, contemporaries, friends, rivals etc… it doesn’t matter who you are, if you have a great Ralph story or art of interest we’d love to hear or see it!

Welcome to the Ralph’s Spot Production Blog. We will be posting updates here on two projects that center around legendary director, cartoonist, and painter Ralph Bakshi. Your comments and feedback are very welcome.
We are looking forward to 2007 when we will be completing much of the work that will be released in the summer of 2008. Thanks for your interest.
