The Ralph Bakshi Art Book Project

We are happy to announce the art / bio of Ralph Bakshi book which is to be released in mid 2008 from Rizzoli NYC. As we are progressing into full production on the book, we are putting out the call to all Bakshi fans, co-workers, students, contemporaries, friends, rivals etc… it doesn’t matter who you are, if you have a great Ralph story or art of interest we’d love to hear or see it!

I CANNOT WAIT for this book, I’m a die-hard and beyond excited at the prospect of proper research being carried out and compiled into this format. Congratulations on getting the project off the ground – I personally have been in the planning stages of a Bakshi project recently, I guess you guys are getting further along- great stuff! Lookin’ forward to it

A well-researched, profusely illustrated and serious book on Ralph Bakshi is long overdue. And if you guys screw it up, he’ll kill you.

This photo is not some odd shot of Ralph from Lord of the Rings…. this is how Ralph used to show up everyDAY on each film set!!
